With her personal highlights so to date, including being selected by Snoop Dogg to accompany him onstage at the YouTube Brandcast in May 2013 Niykee has maintained her songwriting regimen despite the ups and downs of recent years. She is a constant magnet to producers just getting started. Many of the beats she hears from producers spark songs. It's only after five minutes when I'm able to determine if a particular beat is worth it. After that, I get the idea of a song's whole concept inside my head and begin to compose. My guitar sits on the back porch and I let the words flow. The process usually takes about 30 minutes. Niykee keeps working on her abilities as a poet and lyricist. She says that the trauma she endured during her childhood is a constant source of unique ideas. Even when she's not composing about events that were actually taking place the pain through her childhood and loss of her sister finds it's way into her music. My songs are inspired by my experiences and I can sense the deep meaning behind every single thing. That's one of the aspects that are most crucial to me.
