Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. Ellie Goulding rose quickly to the top with her electronic pop sound after capturing the public's attention with "Starry Eyed,"" as well as "Guns and Horses" in 2010. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack of writing engaging, but emotionally honest music, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap, stands at the forefront of modern mainstream music as well as artistic, non-conformist pop.Goulding was soon moving from blogs to print media, garnering the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. The final decision was to sign a major label contract for her label Polydor Records and began making plans for her debut album.
